The Iranian Miniatures Exhibition was opened with the organization of the ENG Group of Companies and the support of the Yeditepe Biennial.
The exhibition, featuring the illumination and miniature works of 20 artists under the Mim Elif art gallery in Iran, brought together art lovers at the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts.

Bahtiyar Esedzade, the Consul General of Iran in Istanbul, who attended the opening ceremony, emphasized the closeness of Turkish and Iranian cultures, saying:

“Culture is one of the most important bridges that connects two societies. As two countries with such close cultures, our dialogues should be equally close.”

WITH CULTURAL ACTIVITIES, COMMERCIAL COOPERATION WILL ALSO DEVELOP

Feride Özal, the coordinator of the exhibition, thanked everyone who supported the event and said:

“This is the first time we are organizing such an event. Hopefully, we will realize more of these kinds of events in the future. Because alongside cultural activities between the two countries, commercial partnerships will also develop. This is our wish.”

Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı, a historian and academic who was a guest at the opening, also viewed the works in the exhibition.

Ortaylı noted that the artists whose works are displayed have successfully conveyed the Iranian and Ottoman worlds through both classical and modern painting arts, and added:

“Hopefully, such events will continue, because it is necessary to introduce these arts to those working in modern fields.”
